Tucked into the Right Place hotel (which seems like a truly strange place), is this old school (?) bistro, named after Ernest, but with an extra “m” to appease the Hemingway Museum across the street. The food is classic French bistro vis-a-vis old Chicago. The wine is standard, and affordable, and a bottle of bubbly a couple days before Christmas won’t set you back too far. The staff wears black vests over crisp white shirts, and the martinis are cold. The plants might be plastic, but that’s beside the point.
